If your event is not listed, you need to go back to the Facilities page and find the form and send it to me ASAP, or sooner.  If we do not have you on this list, it might be very difficult to find something to decorate your event with after the meeting starts.

Registration Area all week

Borrow plants from local nursery to make "landscapes" inside the hotel.  Choosing things that look good at that time of the year.  They have also requested floral arrangements or something for the counter spaces.

They have requested state themed items:  state bird, state flower, etc.  (we had already discussed this so that shouldn't be a problem)

 

 

Taste of Carolinas Dinner

New & Old idea.  What if we still use our top producing ag products but go statewide rather than regionally.  We never could figure out a good way to delineate the areas of the state to make that work.  Maybe one of you has a good idea? There is a list of the top 20 commodities on the NCDA website.  We could just use those and spread them around the room.  It may make it easier to locate the stuff that way.  We can use a variety of baskets or whatever to display things in, or not. Depending on what the item is.  Some things could just sit on the tables.  We had planned to make signs to go with the things anyway, so this will still work.

Got To Be NC Dinner

Idea:  This dinner will be at A&T.  What if we use blue/gold and A&T stuff to decorate.  They have requested Red/White for the BBQ on Wed.  We can probably acquire something from the alumni assoc or somewhere else on campus to decorate with.  And use bright yellow/gold flowers. 

 

 

Tuesday:

Life Members Breakfast 7-8:30

Ideas needed

 

 

Spouses Luncheon 11:30-1:30

This is the art themed lunch.  We still need to work out what exactly that will be.  We had discussed having cut flowers in those multi-colored vases.  There are some vases that are clear that we have access to that are free!  We need ideas about how to make the decorations "arty".

 

 

State's Night In Dinner

They have requested a interstate theme.  They want interstate looking signs pointing to the areas of the country.  They also want something on the tables to indicate where the state will sit for their dinner.  The thought is that they will provide tables for each state to be grouped together to keep the state's night in theme and have everyone from each state eat together. 

 

 

Wednesday:

BBQ Dinner

Requested red and white.  Red and white checked table cloths.  We have acquired a bunch of red and white chinese lanterns that we can use also.  The alumni association has some of those standing wolves that we can get to put on the tables.  Other ideas?

 

 

 

Thursday:

Annual Awards Banquet

At one time Heather wanted floating candles in short bowls to do something different.  That could be very pretty.  We can still do that.  Heather:  what are your thoughts?
